WMC Course Curriculum
Advanced Wilderness First Aid AWFA
(40 hours, 5 days)
This course is perfect for those who travel to areas where hospital care is not easily accessible. Students will learn how to implement long-term care and stabilize patients until rescue is available or additional help arrives. Medical techniques covered include but are not limited to anaphylaxis, wound management, patient assessment and spine clearing exam. We offer FULL certification in CPR (C) with AED as part of this course.
This course usually runs over 5 days and there is a short exam at the end of the course. There is a BRIDGE course that is available to take after the AWFA should you wish to upgrade your AWFA to Wilderness First Responder.
