Wilderness First Aid Instructor Position

Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Do you have an interest in teaching Wilderness First Aid? Wilderness Medical Consultants (WMC) is currently looking for qualified Wilderness First Aid instructors to join our team. WMC has set out to deliver high quality first aid instruction that has resulted in our need to expand our schedule. The position would be suitable for those who have a flexible schedule, recreate in the outdoors, enjoy teaching others, and willingness to travel throughout Western Canada.

Minimum Prerequisites

• Applicant must be 21 years of age or older
• Current 80hrs Wilderness First Aid Course or equivalent (eg. OFA III)
• Valid driver’s license
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle
• Must have access to laptop computer
• Eligible to work in Canada
• Must be active in wilderness activities
• Strong leadership abilities
• Excellent communication skills in English

Definite Assets

• Previous first aid/medical experience
• Previous instructing/teaching experience
• A genuine interest in wilderness first aid and development of curriculum
• Alberta or BC resident

Salary

• Competitive salary based on first aid/medical experience.
